Kids and Saving

Lately, Harrison's conversations seem to revolve around how he can earn money.  Which got me to thinking about an allowance.  He wants money because he is tired of my response to "can I get a new toy?" (no, but I'll take you to get a new book or we can go to the library) or "can I have a new Lego set" (is it a special occasion I am not aware of?).

Crawfish Cornbread

We hosted family for a low country boil over the weekend and I promised to share the recipe for my crawfish cornbread.  I figured while I was at it, I would share my recipe for low country boil too.  

For me, summer can't pass without serving up this dish once or twice.

Ever since we announced to friends that we were heading down to Hilton Head to stay at the Disney Resort I have been amazed by the response, "Disney has a resort in Hilton Head?"  Yes, yes they do.  And it is fabulous.

We are back from a long weekend at Disney's Hilton Head Resort.  Due to several family happenings this year, we were unable to all meet up in Ocean Isle Beach this summer.  So, after a very short discussion, we opted to splurge on this wonderful vacation for the littles (and the hubby and I had just as much fun).
